Visiting Ministry
The members of this Ministry visit parishioners who are homebound, on a regular weekly basis. They bring Communion and with a short visit pray together and also share parish news and activities which helps those unable to get out to mass at the church still feel connected to the parish community.

Medex Ministry
The volunteer team attends the celebration of mass with the residents of Medex, a long term care residence three Tuesday mornings a month at 10.30 am. They help the residents in and out of the room, set up the alter for mass while taking a little time to chat and just be present to the residents.
The 4th Tuesday of the month another Medex volunteer goes to pray the rosary with the residents, also much appreciated.

Knights of Columbus
This fraternal organization of Catholic men embraces service to the Church, community, and youth. Knights organize parish activities, raise funds for charity and offer support to one another. The fundamental principles of the Knights are charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. The Knights are here at St Basil’s to support the needs of the parish under the direction of our Pastor. We are always looking at ways to grow spiritually, one of the core parts of being Knights. Along with hosting social functions such as Parish Brunches, as well as the annual Christmas Dinner and St Patrick’s Day celebrations, the Knights are ready and available to assist any other organization in the Parish with their activities.
Community Life Activities
Coordinates and promotes fellowship through community-building activities such as parish social functions and other community-building events, including organizing special receptions. The group manages the kitchen facilities and relies heavily on an army of volunteers for every event.
Coffee Sundays
For over twenty-five years, Coffee Sundays have been a staple at St. Basil's, starting under the request of Fr. Bosco Wong. It began as a once-a-month occasion, moved to a weekly occurrence at the behest of the parishioners, and now includes the summer months. It is a time for parishioners to mingle after the Mass and to get to know one another. It provides an opportunity for new members of the parish to be welcomed and to feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Coffee Sundays bring people together and help build a strong sense of community.

St Basil's Parish Bridge Club
St Basil’s BRIDGE CLUB is a welcoming group of seniors that meets weekly, from September to June. Parishioners and friends play the game of Bridge and enjoy a sense of community and friendship, from 1:00-3:30pm, on Wednesday afternoons. All are welcome to join this group. The club is self-funded. Currently, there are 28 members who pay $20 for a yearly membership. The club hosts a Christmas and June luncheon and on those occasions a welcome is extended to our pastor and to members of the parish support staff.
Club members take turns providing refreshments at the weekly gatherings. Bridge supplies are purchased from the fees. Surplus monies are used for donations for masses of remembrance for deceased members, and small, token donations are made to our pastor and caretaker once or twice a year. Surplus money from fees is carried over to the new year. If we ever have a significant surplus, we plan to make a donation to support a parish initiative.
