Dear Parishioners:
Effective immediately, we are suspending all masses at St. Basil's. This is to ensure the safety of all our community members in this increasingly difficult time of pandemic. Our doors are closed until it is safe to open them again. This hard decision was not taken lightly, but we feel it is the only responsible choice we have, given the increasingly dire public health warnings and the new concerns being voiced by the leadership of the Ottawa Hospital.
Until such time as it is safe to open our doors once again, there will be no daily masses, no Saturday mass, and no Sunday mass.
In the days ahead we will share our plans for new uses of our Zoom account, our Facebook account, and our website. (A video was shared on Liturgy of the Word for April 18th on our homepage)
As we will not be able to gather in-person, we must all strive to be members of a supportive, encouraging, responsible, and prayerful community. We will learn together to do these things in new and meaningful ways.
Be sure to check the St Basil's website or Facebook page often.
In the meantime, stay safe and get vaccinated as quickly as you can.
Our journey in hope continues.
