Communication Procedures In the Event of a Crisis

Principles: In the event of a crisis situation communication with the Parish will be rapid, ongoing and extensive. It will be as open as possible while adhering to our Christian values. A senior person will be the chief communicator.

Procedures:

  • Any person who becomes aware of a crisis situation affecting the parish should immediately alert the Pastor, the Administrative Assistant or the Chair of Pastoral Council.
  • Members of Pastoral Council will be alerted by telephone of the situation with follow up by email.
  • A point person who will gather information and formulate a first response will be named. The nature of the situation will dictate who the point person is.
  • Information will be verified and updated as it becomes available.
  • All available methods of communication will be used: announcements at Mass, the Parish bulletin, notices in the Narthex, the website and the parish telephone line.

Identifying key priorities, and doing first what matters most. Everybody Needs to Forgive Somebody, by Allen HuntForgiveness will unleash a power in your life that is underrated and often ignored. It is underrated mainly because it is underused. We fail to capture the power of forgiveness because we are afraid of it, because we have grown comfortable in our familiar wounds, or because we are sinfully stubborn. But the power is there waiting for us. This little book, and the eleven real life stories in it, will help you capture that power. Because everybody needs to forgive somebody.
Mission of the Family, by Jon LeonettiHow will the world change? What is the key to moving the culture from death to life and from idols to God? The key is to communicate God’s will to people in a way that they can understand it and do it. The best place to pass on God’s magnificent plan of sheer goodness is in the family. Mission of the Family serves as an excellent guide to equip families so that their change will change the world.
The Real Story, by Curtis Martin and Edward SriDo you know the real story of the Bible? What do Adam and Eve, Moses, David, Jesus and the Apostles have to do with my life? In The Real Story, Edward Sri and Curtis Martin break open the Word to examine how all these pieces fit together into one cohesive narrative − a story of how, little by little, God has drawn His people into closer union with Himself, culminating in the coming of Jesus Christ and the establishment of His Church. Through a closer study of the key characters and events in the larger biblical narrative, Sri and Martin show that the Bible ultimately isn’t a collection of disjointed stories, but an epic saga of God’s infinite love for us and his perfect Plan for our salvation since the beginning of time.
