November 14, 2020Moving Ahead with Laudato Si’
We are happy to announce the second Zoom gathering on Laudato Si' for members of St. Basil’s and Holy Canadian Martyrs parishes. (Other interested individuals may join in too.) This event, entitled Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti: From Prayer and Reflection to Action (with Fr. Augusto Zampini Davies), will take place on Wednesday, November 25, from 2 to 3:30 pm (8 to 10:30 pm Rome time). The first half of our event will be devoted to the two encyclicals, with Fr. Augusto Zampini Davies joining us from Rome as our featured presenter. Fr. Augusto was assigned recently by Pope Francis to be the Adjunct Secretary in the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. In this position, he works on promoting the achievement of the Pope’s vision expressed in Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti. In the second part of our discussion, we will move towards forming action groups of interested parishioners who want to work together on projects that fulfil the intentions of Laudato Si'.
