Other ways to donate to St Basil's Parish
- Pre-Authorized Donations (PAD) - Please fill out a Pre-Authorized Donation form by visiting our parish office with a void cheque. Parish Office Hours
- Parish Envelopes - Available at the back of the church or from the Parish Office.
- E-transfer - send an e-transfer directly to stbasilsparish@gmail.com (answer is provided below for providing the E-transfer)
- Tip-Tap for amounts of 5, 10 or 20 dollars is available in the Narthex (Tap to pay the amount listed on the poster with your Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Interac or mobile payment.

- Other - Cheques, pledges, or securities and stocks (a very tax efficient way to give is to use securities which have large capital gains). Contact the parish office at 613-729-5149.
- Estate Planning - include St. Basil's Parish in your estate planning through a clause in your will or by adding a codicil: “I give, devise, and bequeath the sum of $... to St. Basil’s Parish, Ottawa, to be used in the administration of the pastoral activities of the Church.

Sunday Offering For St Basil's Parish
Sunday offerings pay for all of the costs of running the church. Without them, our church would not be able to stay open. The key items covered with these monies are:
- Salaries and wages for the Pastor, parish office staff and caretaker (includes employer pension plans, health insurance, etc)
- All utilities, maintenance costs, administrative expenses for both the rectory and the church (ex: maintenance, snow removal, internet, consumables, etc) and ministry costs.
Income Tax implications: You get a federal tax credit of 15% on the first $200 of annual charitable donations and the rate jumps to 29% cumulatively above $200 [ex: $4,000 in donations returns a 15% credit on the first $200 ($30) and a 29% credit on the remaining $3,800 ($1102). You will also receive similar credit on provincial taxes totalling ~40% credit for donations above $200 (~$1550 total credit).
